Q: What inspired you to attend Clark Atlanta University (CC, AU, or CAU, and how did your time there shape who you are today?

A: I was inspired to attend Clark Atlanta University because I attended private school from kindergarten through high school, and I wanted to experience schooling with individuals who looked like me. My time at CAU shaped me by pushing me out of my comfort zone.
Q: Can you share a memorable experience or tradition from your time at CAU that still resonates with you?

A: My most memorable experience was when a classmate noticed that I was a transfer student and didn’t have any friends, and invited me to hang out with her and her housemates. I never heard of a boarding house, but it was the best experience that allowed me to meet a lot of people. We are all still friends to this day.

Q: How has being part of the CAU alumni network, especially in the Carolinas, impacted your personal or professional journey?

A: Being a part of the CAU Alumni network has allowed me to network with other HBCU alums by being a part of Queen City HBCU Alliance and representing CAU at college fairs.

Q: What advice would you give to current CAU students or recent graduates navigating life after college?

A: I would give the current students and recent graduates the same advice be intentional with all interactions and network as much as you can. Pay attention to how you treat others because you never know when your paths will cross again.
